Kerem’s Satchel in your satchel you carried your smiles and with them covered the cheeks of crying children
also your exercise boks were in there in those boks your little heart pulsated like stars
in the depths ou your satchel little birds have made their nests
your satchel was very heavy my son but what a lovely weight that must have been no sadness in you when you carried it. (Translated by Mevlut Ceylan, 101Poems by 101Poets An Anthology of Turkish Poetry)
